What was the first book you recall ever reading?
As a youngster I remember the impact of Biff and Chip, especially learning to read. Even the excitement of Spot the dog combining page interaction with pop up flaps and build illustrations.
What was the first book you have read this year?
The first book I read this year I can confirm was Rework by Jason Fried and David Heinemeir Hansson, purely off the beauty of this book being an easy read, something you can always go back to and continue where you left off with ease.
What is your relationship with reading like?
As a visual person I have always had a love hate relationship with words, understanding that people have different ways they take in knowledge, whether it be audio, visual or written. As of recent, being in solitude has allowed me to really enjoy reading again, like working a muscle in a gym; the more you do it the better it gets.
How much of an importance does reading have to you?
I think it’s very important to read to have at least a basic understanding of everything. It opens your mind to different perspectives, truths and gems that help add value to your day to day life.
Describe a way in which a book has meaningfully changed or affected your life…
I recently joined a book club with ADD+ Purpose and as a group started to read ‘Never Be Sick Again’ by Raymond Francis. It has consciously opened my eyes to how I see health and the fundamentals to ensuring my body operates at its best. Reminding me that health is a choice and we are in full control of our bodies.
